Softly faded brick tones frame a large, bold bird inspired by everyday surroundings. This individual traditional Gabbeh was made for domestic use. Approximately 16-17 mm thick, it has fine weaving and smooth, lustrous wool with a gently cushioned feel.
Very fine yarns and small knots allow detailed, painting-like patterns and a firm, refined feel underfoot. Older pieces are selected for their condition, while age-related wear, irregular shapes and slight color bleeding are retained as part of their character. Each rug is cleaned both locally and at Oriental Moon before use.
