How our at-home rug comparison service works

This guide describes our rug comparison service and its domestic shipping arrangements. For an international order, please contact us before ordering to confirm service availability and shipping arrangements.

1. Choose two eligible rugs

Look for products marked as eligible for the comparison service. Choose two rugs for the same intended use; for example, a living-room rug and an entrance mat cannot be combined.

Order the more expensive of the two rugs, select the comparison-service option, and add it to your cart. In the comparison request field, enter the second rug’s product reference, name and price.

2. Complete your order

Check the rug and amount in your cart, proceed to checkout and enter your customer details. Choose a payment method other than cash on delivery. You initially order and pay for one rug only. Review the comparison request and order details before submitting.

Cash on delivery is not available for this service. Orders using that method will be cancelled.

3. Compare both rugs in your room

Once the order process is complete, we will send both rugs. Lay them out at home to compare their size and appearance. Open the packaging carefully and keep it for the return.

Notify us which rug you wish to return within 24 hours of delivery, by email, LINE, telephone, voicemail or fax. After contacting us, arrange for the return to reach our store within 7 days. Our return and exchange conditions also apply.

4. Return the rug you do not keep

Repack the rug in its original packaging. You may also choose to keep both rugs.

  • If you keep one rug, we cover the return shipping for the other under the domestic service arrangements; return it with shipping charged to us.
  • If you return both rugs, you pay the return shipping and should send them with shipping prepaid.

For large parcels in Japan, we recommend arranging collection with Sagawa Express through your local branch or its online collection service.

5. Price adjustment or refund

We inspect returned rugs on arrival. If their condition is satisfactory, we adjust the price difference or refund the applicable returned-product amount.
