About this piece
Expressive animals give this older Qashqai Gabbeh an endearing character. Softened colors and traditional motifs retain the individuality of a piece originally made for domestic use. Approximately 13 mm thick, with lustrous, smooth wool.
Finer yarns than a basic Gabbeh give this rug a close weave and a pleasantly firm feel underfoot. We select pieces in good condition while retaining the wear, irregular shape or areas of dye migration that form part of a vintage rug's character. Each piece has been cleaned both locally and again by us before sale.
