A handwoven Luribaft Gabbeh featuring a single large pomegranate tree against a soft ivory field.
Branches spread to both sides of the upright trunk, carrying generous clusters of deep red and wine-colored pomegranates. Green leaves are interwoven with orange, blue and yellow, adding intricate touches of color.
In Persian ornament, the pomegranate is associated with abundance, prosperity and vitality. The generous open space keeps this bold Tree of Life composition clear and easy to place in a room.
The relatively fine Luribaft weave carefully defines slim branches, small leaves and individual pomegranates. Natural ivory and beige shades of undyed wool give the ground gentle tonal variation and a handwoven character.
Approximately 14 mm thick, in a size well suited to a living room or the space in front of a sofa.
