About this piece
A kilim from the Qashqai weaving tradition of Shiraz, Iran. Geometric and zigzag motifs create a lively rhythm, while mellow colors and natural wool texture blend comfortably into an interior. Traditionally woven by Qashqai women, the firm, close weave reflects careful handwork. Its reversible flatweave and practical thickness have their roots in nomadic tent life, making it a durable everyday rug. Please ask us about suitable washing and care before cleaning.
Persian kilims are valued around the world for their enduring designs, versatility and artistic geometric patterns. Their appeal lies both in the designs themselves and in weaving techniques refined over generations. These traditional Iranian textiles bring a distinctive handmade character to contemporary interiors.
