Persian Rug | Qom 100% Silk Eshaghi Workshop 203 × 134 cm (FX-13196)

A store-manager selection: a 100% silk Persian rug from the Eshaghi workshop in Qom, Iran. A vivid yellow field meets soft green surroundings in a composition centered on a magnificent tree rather than a conventional medallion. Its spreading branches carry flowers in many shapes and colors, recalling a miniature painting of a flourishing garden. Vases, flower baskets, trees and fruit-like motifs enrich the outer area, surrounding the central tree of life. Green, orange, red, purple and blue are balanced throughout the intricate design. Silk's natural sheen gives the yellow a golden glow and changes the depth of the greens with the viewing direction. Clearly defined petals, leaves and branches reveal the fine weaving. This richly expressive piece brings together the ideas of life, abundance and nature in a composition to enjoy as textile art.

A highly recommended piece selected by our store manager. This exceptional Persian rug was created by the distinguished Eshaghi Workshop of Qum, Iran, using 100% pure silk. The defining feature of this rug is the striking contrast between its luminous yellow central field and the soft green tones surrounding it. Rather than following a conventional medallion composition, the design is centered around a magnificent flowering tree, giving the rug a highly artistic and narrative character. The central tree spreads its branches across the field, filled with an extraordinary variety of blossoms. Each floral cluster differs in shape, color, and arrangement, rewarding close observation with countless small discoveries. The design is not based solely on repetition; instead, it resembles a finely detailed Persian miniature painting depicting an abundant garden. The surrounding areas are enriched with vases, floral arrangements, trees, and fruit-like motifs, all carefully organized around the central tree. A broad palette of green, orange, red, purple, blue, and pink is used throughout, yet the composition remains remarkably harmonious. This demonstrates the Eshaghi Workshop’s sophisticated control of color and visual balance. The natural luster of silk gives the yellow field a warm, golden radiance, while the green tones shift subtly depending on the light and viewing angle. On close inspection, the petals, leaves, branches, and small decorative elements are rendered with impressive clarity, reflecting a very high level of technical weaving skill. Richly decorative yet full of symbolic depth, this rug evokes life, prosperity, and the abundance of nature. Among Qum silk rugs, it stands out for its originality, complexity, and commanding visual presence—a museum-quality work of decorative art that our store manager recommends with complete confidence.
