About this piece
Natural soft beige and expressive motifs combine with mellowed colors and traditional Qashqai patterns. This older domestic Gabbeh has an individual character. Approximately 16 mm thick, its supple fabric and smooth, lustrous wool give a gently cushioned feel.
Fine yarns and dense Amaleh-grade weaving render the motifs in detail, with a firm, pleasing feel underfoot. Older pieces are selected for their condition, while age-related wear, irregular shapes and slight color bleeding are retained as part of their character. Each rug is cleaned both locally and at Oriental Moon before use.
