This rug comes from Mood in eastern Iran. A floral medallion-and-corner design combines quiet elegance with a lightly vintage character on an ivory field. Substantial pile and soft, resilient Iranian wool provide a gently cushioned feel. Signed Barali. Its approximately 4 × 3 m dimensions make it a notably large piece.
Small repairs and areas of wear are part of the character of an older rug. Each piece undergoes two thorough Iranian-style washings and maintenance before sale.
