An Iranian machine-woven rug from the LUMINA Modal Art Collection, measuring 126 × 77 cm excluding fringe, with a modal pile and silk fringe.
Rounded gourd-shaped panels combine purple and turquoise around a large circular floral medallion. Tiny pink, yellow and blue blossoms mingle with finely outlined leaves and miniature column-like ornaments. A turquoise ring of floral shapes surrounds the centre, balanced by rounded panels above and below and a purple outer edge. The smooth modal sheen highlights the intricate multicoloured composition, ideal as a decorative entrance or sofa-area accent.
