About this piece
A silk rug from the renowned Jamshidi workshop in Qom. Soft purple and ivory borders frame gracefully curving forms and precisely woven flowers. The carefully balanced composition, fine handwork and smooth silk give it a refined presence as textile art. Signed "Qom, Jafar Jamshidi." The sheen changes markedly with the direction of the pile; adjust the rug's orientation to find your preferred effect.
