Perfect for the Entrance Hall / 2010-11-20
No.92
I placed the rugs where planned. The red one really suits the entrance hall and is thicker than expected, which works perfectly there. The pictorial rug bought in May is beside the piano in our roughly 25-tatami-sized living room. The restrained plant-dyed rug, probably my most expensive purchase so far, is beneath the solid-wood table. It looks calm and beautiful.

The finely woven rug has unusually restrained colours, almost like the plants themselves, and sits beautifully with the wooden dining furniture. The deep red Gabbeh is used as an entrance mat, placed lengthways to show the design clearly.
