Shop note: Alongside the kilim featured in No. 76, the customer sent photographs of a previously purchased Persian rug. Happy New Year. The kilim arrived safely at the end of the year—thank you. I am completely captivated by it. My daughter, home for New Year, finally taught me how to attach photographs. Usually another sumak kilim is in the entrance, but I placed this one there for the picture. I am so fond of it that I cannot bring myself to use it there every day.

The rows of small flowers make a beautiful design. Rugs from regional Persian weaving centres often have a comfortable, balanced thickness that is lovely for daily use.
