I Enjoy Looking at It Before Work and When I Come Home / 2023-09-08

No.488

This was my first pictorial rug purchase, and I am very pleased. Among the many designs showing landscapes, animals and classical figures, this portrayal of a modern woman felt unusual.

Is it just me, or does it look like a scene from the popular role-playing game series Final Fantasy?

I could not bring myself to put a woman’s face on the floor and walk on it, so I had it prepared as a wall hanging and placed it on a door. I enjoy looking at it before leaving for work and when I come home.

The white hanging hardware stands out a little, so I plan to find a better way to disguise it.

Thank you for sending such a lovely piece. I hope to shop with you again.

Pictorial Persian rugs are often displayed on a wall and enjoyed as art. From the snowy background to the horse’s coat and the woman’s expression, the detail is extraordinarily fine and beautiful, offering something to enjoy both close up and from a distance.
