No.157

Thank you for the beautiful rug. I saw you were inviting interior photographs, so am sending ours. We live in an ordinary rented apartment rather than a spacious house like some of the other examples, but perhaps this will help people in a similar situation. My work means moving every few years, so I hesitate to own large furniture. Climate and facilities vary between homes, making a slightly smaller, versatile rug particularly useful. I looked at many Gabbeh rugs online and in shops. Your regularly updated, easy-to-browse website, detailed explanations and thoughtful replies to emails led me to Oriental Moon. I am considering one for the kitchen next and would be happy to return.

This Gabbeh was around 120 cm long. That versatile size can work as an entrance mat, a living-room accent or beneath a desk. Ivory and beige tones suit many interiors, making it a thoughtful choice for a changing lifestyle. These pale colours tend to photograph brightly; even with careful image adjustment, the wool's texture often makes the real rug look more subdued.
