I discovered Gabbeh while looking for something to soften the hard, cold wooden floor. I love the feel under hands and feet and was surprised by how pleasant it remains in summer. These multicoloured rugs are my favourites. Lying on them when tired feels soothing. Despite the many colours, they look calm and have a modern sensibility. I gave small ones to my daughter and son too; their versatile size should work wherever they move. The distinctive design in our entrance warms my heart even through the snowy season and makes me feel truly at home.
