Wishing for a Softer Gabbeh Underfoot!

I went skiing with my child for the first time in over twenty years. As I was never particularly good, I worried about getting injured, but I managed to ski much as I used to and had a wonderful time. The next day, though, the soles of my feet were a little painful. Overdoing things tends to bring on my plantar fasciitis. Outdoors, cushioned insoles in my trainers keep me comfortable, but the hard floors at home feel less forgiving when I am wearing only socks, especially during long spells standing in the kitchen. We have received plenty of thick Gabbeh rugs this season, so I am considering replacing my kitchen Gabbeh with a thicker one. I will let you know how I find it.

There was not much snow, but at least it was not too cold.
