This exceptional Persian rug was created by the distinguished Arsalani Workshop of Qum, Iran, using 100% pure silk. The composition is built around a luminous sky-blue field, contrasted with a deep navy medallion and richly detailed borders. The bold circular medallion provides a strong visual center, while delicate floral and vine motifs unfold evenly across the field, creating an elegant balance between refinement, richness, and restraint. One of the most remarkable features of this piece is the contrast between the light blue field and the darker navy elements. Thanks to the natural luster of silk, the colors shift beautifully with the light and viewing angle, revealing a wide range of blue tones. Viewed closely, the precision of the weaving and subtle layering of colors become especially apparent; from a distance, the design comes together with impressive clarity and presence. Although the field is densely filled with floral ornamentation, the rug never appears heavy or overcrowded. This demonstrates the workshop’s sophisticated control of spacing, rhythm, and proportion.
